How about requiring all 17 year-olds to live one year in North Korea, Iran, or Venezuela before they can vote?
I wonder how that experience would alter the thinking of American-hating youth who know nothing.

I hear it's working PERFECTLY there...lolol and besides, North Korea isn't communist (look it up, it's "Korean National Socialism" or "Juche) , Iran is a theocracy that is more conservative than liberal, and Venezuela is a democracy (at least, according to: the EU, MERCOSUR, the UN, and ASEAN)

This is entirely unnecessary. My generation has rightly repudiated the Neo-Cons and Theo-Cons who are wrecking this country. We are right not to support aggressive war, torture, homophobia, or theocracy. However, there are many of us who also oppose big government economic policies. Last I checked, the Red State Fascists have done enough damage to this country. I don't think people were wrong to vote for Obama, given what they thought he stood for. Those who voted for Obama were not experienced enough or educated enough to recognize that Obama was lying when he pretended to be anti-war or pro-civil liberties just as Bush was lying when he pretended to support "limited government."

how long did you live there? if our children know nothing then we failed to teach them the correct things while we had them captive for 12 years in school. maybe we should add something to the curriculum like basic respect for everyone starting in kindergarten 1hour everyday MANDATORY
