Is Venezuela a good place to visit/live?
Lately ,I've been looking into what Latin American countries I want to visit some day after college. However,I'm mostly interested in traveling to Venezuela and would like to know some facts about it such as the culture, environment, the people,and what your personal thoughts/experiences are. Oh,and I'm a U.S. citizen by the way... Anyway,I would appreciate your imput.

you coulndt choose better; you are welcome! our culture is pretty similar of our Latin American neighbors, I'd say Venezuela is the place where all Latin American culture melts in one, we have always open arms to foreigner or any culture, we have a little bit of everything, the best example i'd say the music, all kinds of caribean rithms and other ones are popular, the mexican music, the colombian music, dominican music, puerto rican, salsa; also the cultural influence of the USA; all of them popular, the enviroment you find the diversity of landscaps; modern cities; beautyful white sand and light blue water beaches; dunes; peaks; amazonic jungle; all that you want; fun loving; hospitality and good looking people (just as me if you are interested .), we have a very relaxed actitude toward life, so relaxed that i'd say is our main social issue, you have to come and see with your eyes the colors and the diversity you are so welcome that you can stay in my house all the time you need.

Venezuela has some great scenery and landscape, a great place to visit especially in pre Chavez years. However, economically, Chavez has destroyed the country incentive to work as attempts to be the next "Castro". Chavez is basing his whole economy on the high price of oil while destroying private industry and productive farming. Hopefully, Venezuela will become a great place to live again in a post Chavez era

Yes, it is a good place to stay, marvelous beaches, a wonderful people, climate is another special feature, yes, there are al insecurity but, the places in which you would be, are special y bad people in not near you. however All persons you meet, will enchanting your person , I can assure that.
