I wanna send a message in a bottle

I wanna send a message in a bottle?
I live in Venezuela, and I'm 11, plus I don't get out much with my family, so I'm not sure how/where to send it. I do know what I wanna say...

Draw a picture and put it in the nearest river/ lake If you want to mess with someone then I would make it look like its a treasure map.

Well choose a bottle thats likely to float and is waterproof...you don't want your message getting wet! :P And then you could decorate the bottle so it stands out and isn't dismissed as rubbish. Then just throw it in the sea/river :)

It's easy: 1) Write your message on a piece of paper, and make sure to include your home address if you want a reply someday. 2) Put it in a glass bottle that has a strong cork or a tight screw-cap and seal it in there. 3) Take it to the ocean and throw it in. 4) Wait, and one day you may get a reply from far, far away. Good luck!... ☺

Well first you need a bottle.. and a plastic one with a screw top will keep longer in the water. Then write your note and put it inside. Then find a river that you know heads to the ocean at some point in its life. The bigger the river the better because a small river would be so shallow in places that your bottle would get stuck. Don't sign your note or if any authorities get it you will be fined for littering up a river (haha). Pick a good spot over the river on a bridge so that the bottle goes into the middle of the river when it falls into the water. That is all you do. If you live on an island then you have to go out past the waves so that the ocean current will take the bottle elsewhere besides back to shore.

People throw them in a large body of water(ocean),whether it be off a boat(ideal) or pier. The bottle goes where it can go depending on various factors... wind, tide, how far away from land you are, storm, etc.

You can send a message in a bottle, by using an empty one. Keep in mind that currents and storms can shift the bottle to various locations, and some may not reach land. However, it is great thing to do if you are bored and not very active. You can easily ship it via the local post office, and it will gurantee to reach land, if this helps.

Just write it like you would to a pen pal and toss it in the ocean. My neighbors and I used to write little notes and attach them to balloons with our address on them and hope someone would write back. We got a couple of people to from pretty far away!

I mean this sounds cool and all but thinking really, its probably just going to become litter. I mean one bottle won't hurt i guess but don't throw it in a river. Only throw it in the ocean so it wont get stuck on anything.

I know what you want to say as well. However, Hugo C. as forbidden that kind of communications. You might get put into prison for even suggesting that you want to escape that dictator.
