Investing in Real Estate in Venezuela?
My family owns a house in Merida, Merida Venezuela - we now live in the United States and have been renting it out for years (currently at 5,000 bsf a month). We haven't sold it because, of course, selling it and transferring the money to dollars would leave us with next to nothing at the current rate. I want my family to consider investing the money - possibly buy or build another house and rent that one out and turn it into an income. So this is my question: Since we receive 5,000 bsf a month with that house, how long would it take us to buy a new house? (at the current cost of a house in a nice neighborhood in Merida like Las Tapias, La Pedregosa or la San Jose)

My opinion is don't think in that idea, With the new Chavez laws, U can loose your hose becouse , like in Cuba if you are not living at there , actual inhabitants may use this house for ever paying o r not.
