Yes, it should be fine. As long as its not expired. Otherwise you would have to go to the embassy and see about getting it extended.

I believe so. After all, you are coming home and you are under no legal compulsion to leave again ever, so I don't see why it would make a difference when your passport expires as long as it is still valid at the time of return. If you are concerned, call the embassy in Caracas.

You shouldn't have a problem if your passport is unexpired on the day you enter. This would be true even if your passport were to expire two days after your entry. U.S. citizens are not required to possess unexpired passports while they are in the U.S.; we only need them for international travel. However, you will need to get a new passport before you leave the country and re-enter (assuming the re-entry happens after your current passport expires).

I don't know why it would make a difference. You do need to get a new passport. Also, check with the US Embassy in Venezuela about getting it updated.

No problem, you just need a passport which is valid on arrival at the United States. The same applies for departure from the U.S., your passport must just be valid. For arrival at Venezuela you again need a valid passport and the Transeunte or Residente Visa. A passport renewal in the United States by mail would only be possible if you have a valid address in the U.S..
