this is an answer I got to one of my questions, it was: "If I ask you: What political system does Venezuela have? What would you answer (with the knowledge you have)?" the answerer wrote this, im not inventing it, he wrote it all, just read: "since President Chavez took power in 1999 he has taken control of the Legislative power, the judicial power, the national electoral council, on top of this he has tightened his grip on the military by politicizing it. He has successfully repressed and threatened the private industry, Civil movements, the catholic church, the private press and even a student movement that has begun to vanish since the last elections in February when the constitution was amended once more to allow Chavez to be re-elected indefinitely. There is a government body called CONATEL that controls what can or cannot be said on the media.The oil industry, electric companies, telecommunications, the cement industry, the steel industry, aluminum industry, and the gold industry are now controlled by Chavez, but wait there is more. Recently he stripped the elected opposition mayor of the capital Caracas of his constitutional powers, and appointed an official that was more of his liking above him saying that this would be the new supreme authority of Caracas. I could keep going forever but i think that to answer your question. the system in place could be called an elected dictatorship. or perhaps an elected monarchy. Que es un texto lleno de medias verdades y mentiras, ahora resulta que Chávez controla el poder legislativo, pero cuando ganaron la reforma el 2 de diciembre de 2007 no dijeron nada, se quedaron con el hocico cerrado (aunque solo lo abren para ladrar estupideces), mas si viene de un gringo que no tiene ni la mas remota idea de lo que escribe porque no vive acá, sino que copia y pega lo que los medios liberales le digan, se nota que no sabe que fue lo que verdaderamente ocurrió los dÃas 11, 12 y 13 de abril de 2002, ignora por completo el paro petrolero y sabotaje económico, recuerdo haber vivido las peores navidades por culpa de unos irresponsables desquiciados por montarse en el coroto para continuar la nefasta IV república y terminar de quebrar este paÃs. Y tu eres un menor, tu no viviste lo que fue la verdadera represión y persecución del puntofijismo.

Que fácil se habla pistoladas. Decir que Chavez no controla el poder Legislativo sólo porque supuestamente la oposición se quedó callada en el 2007 es una tremenda irresponsabilidad. Señores y parece que los extranjeros están más claros que los venezolanos, Chavez dice quiero tal cosa y en menos de una semana tiene el decreto listo. Las elecciones que aquà se realizan son una tremenda mentira, hay lugares en los que los inscritos en el registro electoral casi duplican a la población, los muertos aparecen votando y una cantidad de cosas lo que ocurre es que la oposición ha tratado de hacer las cosas por la vÃa democrática y la única defensa ha sido el paro el paro el paro, Tienen que asumir que Chavez tiene más de 10 años en el poder y vamos de mal en peor. De paso los empleados públicos son obligados a vestirse de su color rojo, a asistir a marchas o son despedidos. (y nadie me lo contó fui despedido por negarme a hacer proselitismo en el organismo que trabajaba) Hablas de la represión de gobiernos anteriores? jamás se vio en este paÃs a una Guardia Nacional o a unos policias reprimir una manifestación de civiles desarmados, máximo algún rollito en la UCV de los mismos delincuentes que ahora están el poder. No hables pistoladas y no le quieras hacer creer al mundo lo que no es porque Chavez solito se ha ido quitando la careta y ya la gente no cae en su engaño. No hay hospitales que funcionen, la educación está cada dÃa peor, los pobres muchachos de escuelas públicas están super mal preparados todo es polÃtica, todo es adoctrinamiento, quieren que la gente no piensa. Puras mentiras y mas mentiras pero ya el pueblo no les cree

Chavez es un corrupto. La oposición es aún mas corrupta. Porque no dejan que el pueblo venezolano decida lo que es mejor para sus vidas y los yankis dejen de meterse en los asuntos internos de otros paÃses. Saludos !!
