Why do Sean Penn and Danny Glover still live in Hollywood, when are they moving to Cuba or Venezuela

Why do Sean Penn and Danny Glover still live in Hollywood, when are they moving to Cuba or Venezuela?
Because I don't think sunlight would affect Danny... Sagacious: I'm an argentine living in Argentina. 2nd edit: Hi Sagacious, My thoughts on Castro and Chávez are the worst possible. I believe in earning my life thru work (maybe some little speculation too) and not thru stealing other people's money as comunists proclaim. I also strong believe in freedom (always inside the limits of legality) and that is the first thing you lose under a comunist regime. I think that men are ambitious, and that's what makes the civilization evolve, the pursuit of excellence and to better yourself. Comunism only evens down a society, giving the same prize for different efforts. Socialism is for mediocre, resentful, envious, unadapted, ignorant people, that think they have the right to live like the guy next door even if they not work. That's just my opinion, I hate both fascism and comunism, they have so much in common...

We were not aware that they are moving to either. We do know that Sean Penn is acting as a journalist in Venezuela, but he is not moving there. If Mr. Glover is going places and standing for a cause then fine! When you have counless millions and can easily make the same amount in a short period of time, you have to do something meaningful to feel substantiated. To them, this is a meaningful cause.

Why are Penn and Glover supporting a dictator? Something they accuse Bush of being.

I doubt very much that either of them will be moving. Here in the USA, we have many people living peacefully together, even though some may disagree with the government and with each other. If you don't mind me asking, which country is your home? <EDIT> Thank you, Bumper Crop! Would you mind sharing your views about Chavez and Castro? I ask because you earn your living from agriculture and I grew up in a small farming community. My own viewpoints of the world were shaped by the opinions of those who farm the land, and I still trust those opinions to be sincere and honest. If you do not want to discuss in an open forum, I would welcome an email from you. Gracias!! (I'm sorry, I only understand English) <2nd EDIT> Bumper Crop, thank you for replying! I see the truth in what you say about communism, socialism and fascism. As you have noticed, many in the US are against the war in Iraq and some of us here are also angry that we see these forces in some degree within our own government. Personally, I do not agree with many of the policies carried out by our current President. It seems that Mr. Penn and Mr. Glover also disagree. However, we have a saying (Expression) "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". I think that can be a very wrong and dangerous assumption. We have another saying: "two wrongs do not make a right (correct)". I do not know the opinions of Mr. Penn and Mr. Glover, I can only hope they do not make assumptions that Chavez and Castro are 'good' simply because they disagree with Bush. I will read their opinions when they return to the US, then I will decide if I think their actions were good or bad. That is just my opinion too. :-) Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me and the others who may read this question!!

Becuase if they moved there, they would have to give up their millions to the government, while here in the US, thanks to the Republican leadership on refusing to raise taxes on the upper 2% of the wealthy people in this country, they are able to keep their millions, drive fancy cars, and own lots of property. Its all a big publicity stunt, they are trying to be the "voice of the common man or something" When all they are doing is trying to get attention, and have people buy more of their tickets/DVDs. BTW, Danny Glover lives in Lake Oswego, Oregon, not Hollywood. Not sure about Penn.
