Recently spent 2 months in Colombia and planing to move there. Here are the pros for Colombia: 1. Country is on very good terms with the U.S. 2. Colombians love Americans 3. One of the best economies in South America 4. Democracy 5. Very diversified landscapes (high mountains, rolling hills, jungles, beaches) 6. Cost of living realatively low compared to the U.S. 7. Very friendly people 8. Good flight service between the U.S. and Colombia I haven't visited Venezuela yet, however, several people I know have and this was their feedback, in addition I have some of my own input. 1. Government in Venezuela is on bad terms with the U.S. Government 2. Dictatorship 3. Cost of living is one of the highest in South America 4. Very few foreigners in Venezuela, and even less Americans 5. The people I know who visited Venezuela did not feel safe. 6. The people I know said that they had the feeling to getting ripped off by everybody 7. Caracas is one of the most violent cities in South America
