Can I buy an iphone 3GS without contract at Apple Store 5th avenue after 11:30pm?
I live in venezuela. I'll be going to new york next month and i want to buy an iphone to unlock it because in my country it is too expensive

You need a contract unless you buy a used one. I think

unless you are willing to unlock the iphone (and potentially losing it) than yes you can but the price will be higher than if you buy the contract. any time that you buy an unlocked iphone gives you the chance of "bricking" the phone (in other words rendering it useless, and can't be used at all). the iphone is under an exclusivity contract, meaning that no other carrier can have the iphone until the contract ends. hope this answers your question.
