How to get death certificate/will in a different country

How to get death certificate/will in a different country?
My relative has passed, and he lives in Venezuela and we live in the United States. He has a dead wife and no children, only one sister living in Italy. No one can find out who the exectuive is, and we were hoping to find how we can contact places to get a will or a death certificate, to help us out. If you have any way please reply. Thank you!

Yak gave you his usual great answer. One other alternative is to contact the American Consulate in Caracas or the Department of State in DC at 202) 647-5225 and begin by asking for a list of consulate-approved attorneys (abogados) in the place where your relative lived. I don't think it'll be simple or cheap, but it's worth a try. You need a US citizen to get help from the Americans, but I'm guessing one of your family is. Estate and probate have to be different than where you live, so that's why some legal help will be useful to you. If your relative was a US citizen, the consulate will help even more, since their job is to look after citizens and their estate. Take care!
