how is venezuela? is it a nice place to live for a teenager?
so my dad is being transfered to venezuela, and my dad thinks this is a great opportunity since i will be able to learn spanish even better. Currently i only understand the language, and can speak a minimum amount of spanish. I'm going to end up in a International school, but how is life like in Venezuela? is it like the US? are things actually safe at Venezuela liek the US? i just wanna know the general thing of whats it like to live there! BTW, i'm in the 9th grade, and most likely moving at 10th grade.

"Most likely"? Gee, I wish you the best of luck. But seriously, You'll love Venezuela. People are constantly partying and having a good time. It's easy to get around and you'll find anything and everything you need. The food is great and the people very friendly. You're going to have a blast! Having said that, you need to learn where to go and when. Don't get me wrong, 99% of Venezuela is safe but there are certain places you don't want to be at certain times of the day. Don't worry too much about it because people will let you know. Another thing to be careful about is the traffic. When crossing the street look both ways every time all the time. Also, if you're American and/or blonde guys are going to be constantly hitting on you . So get used to it. Places I suggest you going in case you're going to live in Caracas are: Ateneo de Caracas, Sambil, Parque del Este, Junquito/Colonia Tovar, Los Chorros, Las Mercedes, el teleferico, Sabana Grande, el Hatillo, and, of course, the beaches! Take care and have a wonderful time!
