I'm not sure but Merida is one of the least expensive places in Venezuela. Forget Caracas, it's extremely expensive.

It depends on your job, If you are living in the US and plan to move to Venezuela....your money will go far. It is cheaper on the west side of the country. There isn't really a middle class in Venezuela, so either you will be poor or rich. Most american's are rich.
