Do Canadians have a problem with Chindians

Do Canadians have a problem with Chindians?
This is not in anyway to be offensive or racist. However my friend is a chindian and he is from Trinidad. I live in Venezuela but he was supposed to migrate to canada later this year and he was concerned about the racism etc. Could I get you guys opinions? btw, guys thank you for your answers and lol a chindian is a person of mixed Chinese and Indian ancestry commonly found in the Caribbean, Malaysia and Singapore and also Hong Kong.

Canada is a country of immigrants. Your friend doesn't need to be concerned about racism. That's not to say he won't see any, there is always that one bad apple in a barrel. But he won't see very much of it.

The only Trinidadian I know seems fine in Canada - no problems.

There may be some racism from people who believe that only white people should be in Canada, but Canada is a country built upon immigrants coming to this great country and settling this land, half of us wouldn't be in Canada if it wasn't open up to settlers coming from different countries. Most people are very understanding, and depending on where your friend is moving to there are large communities of immigrants, who celebrate their own customs.

What on earth is a Chindian? Canada is a multicultural nation, made up of people from all parts of the globe. Racism isn't a problem here.

I will let you know how little racism there is in Canada - what on earth is a "Chindian?" There are many, many immigrants for the Caribbean in Canada, particularly in the big cities of Ontario. About 20% of the Canadian population is immigrants, and 98% either immigrants, or descendants of immigrants. Not that things are perfect, but a lot better than pretty much anywhere else.

I don't even know what a Chindian is, though once you said he's from Trinidad, I figure he must be of Chinese and Indian descent. There are many of both in Canada and have been for a long time, particularly in Vancouver and Toronto, and Toronto has a lot of people from the Caribbean. Your friend will blend in easily in both cities and in many other places too. Is there racism in Canada? Yes, there's some everywhere you go but I think Canada is much better than many places that way.

There is no racism in Canada. The whole country is made up of different cultures.
